Beware a Yellow Duster

imprinted with Cheeses of the British Isles.

I've had an unused yellow duster for nigh on 30 years because a)I had no need to use it b)it was pretty c)it was a gift from son or daughter who went to Cheddar Gorge on a brownie, girl guide, scout or Boys Brigade holiday d) I led a frugal life! All things come into their own time. As my cleaning cloths are few, and as it was so soft, I decided to use it to polish bathroom tiles, after which it found itself in the washing machine waiting for a load!
Fortunately, the black and white, single duvet cover, which once between 20 and 30 years ago serviced as my son's bedlinen was unaffected.  Phew! BUT two pillowcases, one an under pillowcase and the other a John Lewis embroidered pillowcase, of which I have 4 (now 3) are now a lemony shade. The latter was already falling to pieces but I was just gaining  another winter's use from it before it reaches the recycling bag!

Good day Sunshine

At last the sun is shining and The Beatles sing whilst nightingales trill sweetly within earshot, as does the hoopoe. Neither can I see!!! I love them all!
Just had a lunch break after a second day for Spring cleaning bed linen, airing all duvets, ironing and making beds.
Today, welcome rays of real warmth, encourage me to throw open shuttered doors which are windows and clean inside and out. Have vacuumed rooms and damp wiped skirting boards where was just an indiscernible layer of dust. Have sorted clothing to sell on ebay (must learn!) and for a vide-grenier or Emmaus.  None of these tasks were on the list for today!! Progress is being made.
Yo, I have a warm glow! What a difference the sun makes! Good day Sunshine! Note the Emmaus acquisition!! Very French!
