Rain collection

One can often see chains such where water flows from the gutter without a down-pipe. 
I'm not sure where the overflow must go!

      And, at one time...
      the theme music to Formula One motor racing....
      and now that tune will keep running in the shadows...
      all night!!
      One of my favourite tunes... it'll not keep me awake...
      and tomorrow...
      I'll play it at concert volume!!!
